Jesus heals

From my recent devlog (devotional blog), I will still be using Mark 1 as a reference here.

………………………………………………………………………………………………….

To come out in the open…

It is safer to come out from behind the screen of isolation and be seen as who you really are than it is to hide behind the image of what you want people to see you are while you are dying inside. (no, it’s not the millennial song, lol)

It is safer to come out from behind the screen of isolation and be seen as who you really are than it is to hide behind the image of what you want people to see you are while you are dying inside.

What keeps you away from Jesus? What screens you from having a healed life? The danger of isolation is much greater than the risk of intimacy.  Shame always creates screens but intimacy requires proximity. To be intimate with Jesus requires desperate nearness and we know thatGod is much closer to the broken-hearted and he never fails to rescue those whose spirits are crushed. What a loving God we have!

The leper might have thought “they can stone me…they can beat me, but I don’t care what it will cost me… I’ve come too far to turn around. This time I will run so near to Jesus, I will ask Him to heal me because I want to feel again! I want to live again!”

Just like that leper, I’d rather walk the hall of shame just to be near the source of my healing. I want God’s presence more than people’s approval and my heart cries “Do not cast me away from Your presence oh, God.” God has not brought me this far just to leave me wandering. I will not retreat, NO, I will never turn around. Even if people might throw intrigues and spread rumors against me or attack me with accusations, I will still run towards Jesus with eyes fixed until I reach his place of grace, there I will bow and beg. And even more will he silence your greatest enemy, the greatest accuser – the Devil. He has assured me of His promise anyway, since indeed God considers it just to repay with affliction those who afflict you, and will shut the lips of your accusers.” In 1 Peter 2: 15  it also says, It is God’s will that your honorable lives should silence those ignorant people who make foolish accusations against you.”

All the more that I can gladly proclaim,

“I AM NOT WHAT WHAT I DID…”

“I AM NOT WHAT THEY SAY…”

“I AM WHO I AM FOR MY FATHER IS THE GREAT I AM'”
