What’s the Naked Truth?
Why do we always find it hard to love who we are?
Why do we often seek approval from people?
Why do we base our lifestyle to what is trending in the world?
We color our hair from time to time; avail beauty products and services; buy clothes and footwear; spend ample amount of cash just to buy gadgets and gizmos which will depreciate in a very short span of time.
We want to look good because we want to feel good.
So that’s it, in the end it is always ‘us’ who matters.
If we would have our own book published, it might be too good to be entitled as “How to become A Narcissist and Self-Absorbed”. Wow! We’re good to go in giving advice when it comes to flaunting our vanity and hiding our flaws. Then we would be feeding our egos all the more till it puffs out! Wh-hoo! Imagine ourselves ego surfing, yes it might be enjoyable but one mistake then we’re all drowned.
I’m not saying we’d all be pitifully looking at ourselves and wait for our death, but, I suggest let us pause for a while, away from the traffic of life, seek Refuge in His temple, gaze upon the beauty of His face, and listen intently as He says:
“I remember you because I love you.”
What a very uplifting reminder from our Refuge, isn’t it? You won’t be needing to beg for people’s attention, men’s approval, netizens’ like on our Facebook status nor their love for our Instagram photos OR ask for more Twitter followers.
Rumors, persecutions, and rejections will just be shrugged off from our shoulders once we become truly contented and fulfilled.
Start loving your within so you can truly love from within!
For You formed my inward parts;
You covered me in my mother’s womb.
14 I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;[b]
Marvelous are Your works,
And that my soul knows very well.
15 My frame was not hidden from You,
When I was made in secret,
And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed.
And in Your book they all were written,
The days fashioned for me,
When as yet there were none of them.
17 How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God!
How great is the sum of them!
18 If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand;
When I awake, I am still with You.Psalms 139
