“God, take me to the place where You want me to be. Take me to the heights and depths I’ve never been before. Bring me to where You are going for I believe You won’t bring me to where You will not go.”
My prayer for the past months was confirmed through the preaching of Church of God National Director, Dr. Tim Hill last April 25 in a luncheon fellowship and also last April 28 when we held our 13th National Convention. There he preached about the place called ‘yonder’ where God wants us to be. But what ‘yonder’ actually means?
Yonder according to Merriam Webster is a distant or far place but is just within the sight. Exactly! God is calling us to go to a place that seems to be very impossible to reach and it takes faith to get there. It might be too far but it is within reach, it is therefore attainable.
Wow! It is like climbing a mountain, you have to leave all the extra baggage for you to be burden-free. Things that weigh us down instead of lifting us up, the sins of (fear, guilt, envy, pride, lust, lies, grudge, angst, self-pity, or compromises) those that we should have left before. These are the burdens that we should not carry when we worship. Instead we must lay them all at the feet of the mountain, surrendering them all at the very feet of Jesus.
An eagle soars and finds peace above the storms, a worshiper does the same, goes above the storms of life and experiences God’s peace.
Soaring,
